I'm unsubscribing as well. Been thinking about doing it for a while.

  Same goes here.

Talk about a waste of time. certain people on this list don't want to take the time to answer simple questions relating to Rockbox, but they'll write a dozen messages about list etiquette, links to unsubscribe, etc. This has become the most unwelcoming list to which I'm subscribed.

Don't I know it. Also, list etiquette related here. You talk of not top posting. Why not give links to places where you can get things like OE-fix.

If it makes you feel better to have the last word, Paul, and I have no doubts you'll have some smart remark to make, go ahead. I'm out. If I have any Rockbox queries in the future, I won't come here. Seems to me that lately, when ever someone asks a question or even gives a suggestion as Jürgen has done, he/she is answered with some patronizing comments by you. Well, enjoy it. Pretty soon you'll be the only one here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.
Be asured, you are not. This is why I keep my mouth shut;seems you can't say boo on here before Paul jumps down your throat with iether a patronizing comment, or yells at you for not reading the manual (however, he doesn't give the specific area, you might want to do that so people don't ask where - the manual is quite complex for some folks with little computer knolidge, and the fact that you asume everyone is knolidgeable in computers is a mistake, too).
FInally I will just add this comment. There are people here who are over fifty. I was subscribed to another mailing list where said person didn't know how to browse through headings with a screen reader. Some people take that foregranted, and it is a huge help; others who don't know how to are left in the dust.

Nuff said. I won't unsubscribe but this is why I don't say much here;but if I see things like what was going on earlier, rest asured I'll email that person help privately;as I did morice. You like helping people, and pointing them to the documentation is great. But point them to the area they can look at, and if they have questions about it, why, so be it! Answer them - maybe the documentation isn't clear, and after all, this is what this list is for.

FInally (really, I mean it this time) there was a time not too long ago when a guy could get away with asking "simple" questions like this. Maybe they didn't know what they were doing - but I've found this list getting less and less helpful over the last 2 years I've been subscribed, sorry to say.

Still a lot of helpful people on here, though, and I'll be glad to pass along my knolidge.

  You all take care.

  Erin
