Yes, I have rockbox installed, so I guess I am connecting via rockbox.
I use version R1.86.

Are you connecting via Rockbox (and, if so, which version) or the original
firmware?

I had this problem with the OF and found that the best "solution" was to
avoid it by enabling USB in my Rockbox builds. This is now the default, so
a newish Rockbox install shouldn't ever require booting the OF.

Of course, if it's the Rockbox USB stack giving you problems, that's another
matter...
