      Hi thanks for replying to my message. Sorry it has taken me a while to reply. That's a bit clearer about why the patch isn't working. Though I can only find one if statement that directly refers to current, and the compiler still didn't like it when I put the else statement there so I am not sure why. Maybe I should just give up on this patch all together.
  I downloaded the current source (revision 22249) and looked at tree.c. The patch file doesn't really make any sense. I'd suggest not patching tree.c at all (just use the original version).

  I took your advice and tried removing the area of the patch that patches tree.c, however although rockbox now compiles, I think at least some of the changes to tree.c were needed as the patch doesn't work and hasn't modified behaviour at all to either load the radio by a press of record, or the playing time screen with a press of play and record together.

  I don't really understand the patch either, but I guess it must do something important to tree.c lol.

  I will try contacting the original author of the patch, but I am not sure if he will be able to help as last time I heard from him which was probably around a year back maybe more he had decided to focus more on sport activities. His reasoning was that he was happy with rockbox on his player in its current state so he probably wasn't going to bother updating it any more or work on coding for it.
  But I will contact him anyway and see what he says.
