Hi, I am interested in this as well.

The rbutilt package for mac OS is very accessibly designed, but I
can't make it detect any of the voices I have installed. On the
windows side, the rbutilt package interface is a complete mess, and I
haven't been able to get anywhere with it. I've heard snatches about
a set of RButilt scripts to automate .talk file generation, but
nothing beyond that.

One day I'll sit down with the manual, but for now I'm getting weary
of my player nagging me to register the voice I installed on the mac
side.

Best,
