Ok here is what I have done

1 on ipod press menu select same time, then select and menu

2 connect to computer

3 turn off itunes

4 run utility install (found here http://www.rockbox.org/download/) using current development build during install

5 place bootloader and ipod patch into file on desktop found here http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=24570.0 first post

6 press shift and right click file with bootloader, and ipodpatch to go to command mode

in command mode cut & paste "ipodpatcher -a bootloader-ipodvideo.ipod" from here http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=24570.0 again first post

7 exit comand mode after it has finished install

8 copy and paste file with bootloader, and ipod patch from above into drive for ipod.

9 eject ipod

10 black screen with PANIC unsupported physical sector 4096

subnote under driver for ipod here is what I have.

rockbox ipod 240gb 80gb (bootloader and ipod patch from above)

calendars

contacts

ipod_control

notes
