Most podcast listeners (and the OP in particular) don't want files
removed just because the new episode is available, but when they've
been played.

The scrobble log could be used by a podcast syncing program, but I
think files are listed there after 2 minutes of play, not played all
the way through.
I'd think the scobbling code could be adapted to also handle podcast logging.
