The release notes for 3.8 mention:
USB is still too unstable on the FuzeV2, ClipV2 and Clip+ and is disabled in
this release

As such it boots into the original firmware for the time being to transfer
files. There is a patch but I think it has a couple of bugs on windows
still so it hasn't been applied.
