http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/12118 - I'll edit it if you want.
There's certainly code in there to speak the battery level/status; did you
get speech for the disk stats etc?

Did you create .talk clips as I mentioned? Rockbox Utility can do this, but
I don't know how accessible it is at the moment.
