Has any consideration been given to more advanced/powerful media
players like the Viewsonic VMP75?
While polished, the onboard firmware sucks and several elements just
plain don't work.
Given the ability to replace the default firmware with Rockbox and
promote the unit back to use, I'd take that option.

A well formed and functioning, if rugged interface that succeeds in
playing audio and optionally video trumps the default firmware which
in spite of polish is lack-luster.
