Definitely not. Most recordings I make are line-in.
(I made the mistake of not buying an external mic when I bought the
recorder, now I cannot find one anymore.)

I'm even considering to go for a (semi-)professional recorder (e.g.,
Tascam) hoping that it will be useable as a music player as well.

But I will miss RockBox then...
