Rockbox mail archiveSubject: Intelligent file caching.Intelligent file caching.

One thing that's frustrating on HD based players are the pauses when skipping to other tracks. That could be improved by pre-emptively caching track beginnings.
For example, the previous and next track's first few chunks could be cached, so that skipping tracks is instant. Or, in the file browser the same thing could happen with the currently selected file. All this could be done in the background with any spare CPU cycles.
Any thoughts? Is there enough memory for this?
