I've read the guide on code formatting, but I'm wondering if the project
leader(s) are still as concerned about // style comments? They're much
quicker to type, and also allow the use of /* */ to quickly disable blocks
of code.

If you're still strict, no problem, but I thought I'd see if I can't make my
life easier.
