I'm gonna have to agree with Daniel. If you don't have a final deadline,
then people start thinking "Ah, it'll be released when it's done" and you
lose the focus entirely. What we should do, in my opinion, is release 3.0,
then ask developers to focus on bugfixes. Not a feature-freeze, but a
preference to bufixes over new features for a while, with the intent to
release a 3.0.1 release if stability can be greatly improved.

And of course, that's just my personal opinion on it. :)
