Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any other experiences with this bug in various forums and archives. What happens... When playing certain types of MP3 files it will play normally until I press the "Play Button" to pause the output. When this happens my H140 seams to freeze. Pressing various buttons for varying lengths of time and even hard resets via the reset button do not reset the player. The only way to get the H140 back on track seams to be to wait several hours for the battery to discharge. Once recharged the unit starts up into Rockbox noramlly and I can once again use the unit. When the H140 freezes as mentioned above I am told (I'm blind and got someone to look for me) that the normal playing screen is displayed with the elapsed time of playing frozen on the screen. (No error messages or debug lines Etc) So far I have observed this freezing happening on two types of MP3 files: As reported by the Linux/Debian-testing file command: pcrs_2006_september6.mp3: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v2, 24 kBits, 22.05 kHz, Monaur , Monaural and klxs-free_fm-los_angeles-20060922_1400.mp3: MPEG ADTS, layer III, v2, 56 kBits, 24 kHz, JntStereo When I press the Play/Pause button immediately preceeding the crash, I do hear a small clicking noise. All other higher-quality MP3 files play fine! I have been having this problem with CVS versions from as far as a couple of months ago and as recently as the daily build from 22 Sep 2006. If anyone can provide any insight to this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
