I don't mind suggestions and ideas, I just like them better when they don't
imply that the server admins would need to do anything!

I suggest you setup a cron job that cvs updates every N hours and build a RSS
feed out of that. The "changes since 2.5" page is done exactly like that.

I'll even offer the code that is used to build that page:

All you need is to change the magic to make RSS output instead of HTML...
