Has anyone tried using a thermometer (or IR camera) to work out which chips
are using power? That was the first stage towards solving the H300 power
consumption problem IIRC.
I'd agree that you'd be better off donating to Rockbox if you've got spare
cash and want to help progress the project. Either that or employ an
industrial spy to pay PortalPlayer or Apple a visit... ;-)
