appologies for the wierd commit message, svn said there was a conflict
and it saved my message, excect I didnt realise I wasnt in the
toplevel dir when I did the initial commit so the file was saved to
apps/gui instead of /...

the actual commit was
fix FS#7246 - if a new list is drawn with the selection at the end of
the list, make sure the whole screen is filled
