Date: Wed, 7 Nov 2007 07:51:30 -0500 Wherever a hardware beep is possible, that should be used. Where not, it is possible to play some pcm out and switch back monitoring a recording. It's just a few ms anyway. One thing is that the recording menu could be voiced even from the recording screen if recording is shut down first. It has to be reinitialized anyway after exiting the menu so it wouldn't make any difference to close it first and turn the voice menus back on.
