Well I am not sure about the number question. Perhaps the second number
after the line number is the colum number?
Because we indent our source code.

But why do you want to know what line number a patch modifies? Even if it
won't apply a line number won't help you much. You will need to go through
the source and find where the code that won't apply should go...
