I would guess that you can skip that part for a while, and instead dive into
disassembly etc since this player is PortalPlayer PP5020 equipped and uses the
already familar mi4 file format for firmware upgrades.

You need to look for how to operate the LCD and how to read buttons.

Also, you could consider posting about your efforts in the rockbox forums'
"New Port" section, try finding other yh920 owners that are willing to join in
and help and of course, read up on the new port wiki page:
