Hey hackers

If you intend to fix any particular bugs or problems before the upcoming 3.0
release, can you please reply to this mail and say so (and explain the fix)
and possibly include a rough ETA?

When we have no further changes to do, we can just quickly put everything
together and release!

BTW, I built a 3.0RC package the other day to allow curious minds to check how
a 3.0 release might look like. The list includes zip files, pdf manuals and
zipped html manuals:
