I think it could be part of a clean-up of the front page at the same
time, not necessarily rewrite everything, just tidy up what we
actually want to link to.

My main issue with the front page as it stands is the links to 'wiki'
and the 'docs index', both appear to be indexes to the wiki and I can
never remember which one I want to use to find the information I want.
Do they both have to be there? could they be merged or replaced by
this contribute/get involved page?
