I would do the work to create such a setting, however i'm still trying to

I can understand you not wanting a configurable record button for example,
but this patch has a setting associated with it, so it can be enabled or
disabled at will.
Plus its not exactly a very major change is it.
This setting can be very useful if you need to shut down in a hurry, for
example on a train or in a waiting room flicking that switch and knowing for
sure its shut down and not going to come back on is very useful, and it
saves a lot of time as if you didn't use it you'd have to hold the button to
shut down the player, wait for it to shut down then put hold to on. This way
you just flick a switch and can then stuff the player in a pocket or bag or
whatever, no waiting around.
