annoying might need to live with it. Every side has to make
compromises.

And for abortable splashes it wouldn't be a good idea to allow any but
the cancel button to dismiss is if the button press is eaten. If any
splash is dismissable with any button and the keypress is not eaten it
would be making the handling less timing dependent IMO.
