What do you think? Hi, Good to see there are others interested in this. It would seem there are several things needed to facilitate this: 1. A Linux system 2. An access system 3. The packages and dependencies needed to facilitate the Rockbox-related processes 4. Any front-end interface 1 and 2 are pretty much covered by Alex's suggestion of a pre-configured accessible distribution. For 3, I believe documents must be available either on the Rockbox site or in the mail archives, as there have been posts on here before about build clients, indicating that there are others that have set up systems other than the centrally-hosted ones. For 4, I would say a command line one would be best, as having a GUI just leads to potentially more accessibility issues which is going backwards in my opinion. A command based system could start simple and grow more complex as needs dictate. And yes, keeping it as similar to cygwin as possible is good, as this improves cross-platform usability. __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 4478 (20091003) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com Received on 2009-10-04 Page template was last modified "Tue Sep 7 00:00:02 2021" The Rockbox Crew -- Privacy Policy |
