I have encountered at least three H300's with this exact problem. Upgrading
to an unofficial bootloader was the only way to solve it.

I would like to see that one commited on the SVN bootloader, at last.

Currently I use a custom bootloader I compiled a while back (r14945) to suit
my needs and worked quite good for at least 5 persons.
If testers are needed I am willing to try custom bootloaders on my two H300s
for the sake of a new official bootloader release.

It would be very pleasant to see the H300 bootloader mess being fixed and
put to rest after so many years.
