But you aren't "explicitly (and manually)" requesting it to play the
last thing again, you are "explicitly (and manually)" requesting the
player to resume where it left off last time. Since "where you left
off last time" is beyond the end of a playlist, then by definition
you are resuming "nothing", a la the current behaviour.
