The patch is quite old and probably won't even apply cleanly on the current
code.
Its functionality was rejected quite long ago in IRC due to settings bloat.
The last version of the patch didn't only add space to scrolling but had an
option to input a custom string padding on the scrolled line.

I see no reason to be open any longer so I will close it myself.
