What kind of audio format do you play back? Are there other CPU-intensive settings you have acitvated (e.g. EQ)?
MP3s, all of which are perfect when played in Winamp.
CPU is set to default, database is active, no particularly unusual things activated.
A little more information on the stutter - it's also noticable (with both earphones in - something I don't normally do) that one or more parts in the track shift from left to right or vice-versa with each click. Most commonly, it's a guitar, possibly indicating something in the treble range.
