FS#12182 - Wake Up Alarm to Recording Screen Goes to FM on Nano 1g
When I use the "Wake Up Alarm" with the "Wake Up Screen" set to "Recording." my Nano turns on OK, but the screen starts on the FM screen. This is especially strange as there is no FM radio on this player.
I am expecting the player to turn on and start recording.
This is a 1g Nano running 3.9
Thanks.

Confirmed.
I've had no time as yet to poke in the source to see what's going on…the most interesting thing (IMO) is that its even possible to get to the FM Screen when the associated HW isn't present.
Very curious.
Thanks for taking the time to confirm this. Curious indeed! Let me know if you need any more information.
Has this by any chance been fixed in the current release? (Thanks.)
This seems to only be possible when radio is supported by the build but not detected. In apps/settings.h, the ALARM_START_* settings are present conditionally based on compile time constants. Because the tuner is supported ALARM_START_FM == 1 and ALARM_START_REC == 2. In menus/time_menu.h, in alarm_setting(), the same compile time conditionals are used, but in addition the FM setting only appears if radio_hardware_present(). If radio is present, everything should be okay, because settings.h will match the menu built by alarm_setting() in time_menu.c. If radio is not detected, then that setting is not present and 1 is used for recording. It is then interpreted as FM. You can see this in config, cfg: "alarm wakeup screen: fm".
