FS#2896 - Japanese quizz

Japanese learning tool/game.
Display a japanese character and propose three
translations from which you choose the correct one.
Hiragana, katakana and the 68 kanjis from the
japanese wikibook
(http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Japanese/JLPT_4_Kanji)
are included. (put the *.jdic files
in /.rockboy/rocks/)

!!You need to select the Unifont font in General
Settings→Display→Browse Font to have see kanas and
kanjis !!

Only tested on recorder simulator and H120 simulator,
but should work on all targets (except player maybe?)

Feel free to send any bug report!

I like the plugin, but I think it can be useful for learning any language, not just Japanese.
What do you think about turning it into a viewer so you click on a dictionary file to learn the words?

GRaTT commented on 2007-09-09 00:57

updated to compile with current svn
updated menus
added viewer option open your own language dictionaries.
required to be name.jdict
and select them or use open with menu.
Dictionaries must be in the form:
any language text<tab>other language text
question<tab>answer
could be a math quiz.

how to compile these 4 files in the zip ??? ;o i’m a noob sorry ;/

GRaTT commented on 2007-12-09 22:16

use “patch -p0 < language_quizz.diff” to patch the source
from the rockbox directory.
Place the .jdict files in the “/.rockbox/rocks/apps/” directory.
compile and update your player.
