DetailsHi:
I notice that if I start my 5G iPod Video (booting into rockbox), and then plug in the USB cable (holding down the Menu button) and start playing music, eventually the device will suddenly stop, reset, and try to connect to the host machine (Win XP in this case). |

When plugged into the USB power brick-thingy it does the following steps in a tight loop:
* powers up
* boot screen
* RockBox splash screen
* Shows the files screen for a second
* Shows something that looks like a USB or Firewire symbol
* Powers off with a horrible sound from the harddrive
I wonder if this has anything to do with bug http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/5848
Ciao!
The charger symbol appears immediately in the status bar, so the power itself is detected.
although, i have a similar problem, my iPod will work until playback of a song. it'll play a few seconds, and then it will either crash or give me an error...
FS#7691fixes, please try it out and let us know.
