I have some files with cyrillic characters in the tags. But I don't like the unifont since it's too thin for my taste. So I added cyrillic chracters to the my favorite font nimbus-14 (it's thicker and hence easier to read). And while I was at it I also added some east european characters since they all look very similar. I have not added any chinese/korean/japanese glyphs.

There is another patch for nimbus-14 with cyrillic and chinese glyphs, but it was created automatically from some TrueType font so the symbols don't look very nice. Here every symbol was "designed carefully."
This task depends upon

Hm... I somehow managed to select the false category :-(

Do you mind if I use your .bdf to post an updated version of my patch (with the Chinese characters)? That way we can have a more complete version of the font with both good-looking Eastern European and Chinese glyphs.

No, I surely don't mind.

Here is also a version of nimbus-12 (only with cyrillic glyphs, no east european glyphs are included)

And here is a version of nimbus-14 with hebrew glyphs as well. I'm not an expert in hebrew calligraphy, so use with care ;-)

Corrected some ascents/descents and added hebrew to nimbus-12

Thanks Al, I have updated my nimbus-based Chinese font with your cyrillic, eastern european, and hebrew glyphs. Can you test it out to see if it displays them properly?

Hi Andrés,

everething seems to be Ok. By the way, in my last update (from Apr 4), I have screwed up the nimbus-14: the white space is too wide.

Amazing work Ben!

Could you make a version with greek glyphs too?
Is it an easy task to do so? How exactly do you insert new glyphs?
