Can you give more information? Does it happen at the end of an album? At a rebuffer? At the first rebuffer after an album change?

When filing a bug report, you should explain how to make the problem you're having happen so that other people can experience it.

I don't know what a rebuffer is. I have it in "auto-change directory" mode and listen to several albums in a row and at seemingly random times, it will lock up/pause. When it's happened, I don't experience it for another few albums. Sometimes it won't happen for a week, but I don't know in that time whether I have listened to several albums in a row or not. I can't give any more information than that. I looked at the bugs that will be fixed in version 3 and one or two of them look like they *may* be related. I hope so.

Okay, everything that's "fixed" in that list, is in CVS now. Also, talking about it freezing once a week, has the freeze been occurring with NEW builds?

Also, what do you mean by "freeze" since most people define it as "The player is no longer responding to any input" but you've mentioned something about Pausing now...

Well when it happens the audio stops. If I press fast forward it will goes to the next song but rewind doesn't work. I put on the newest build when I found this problem in the hope that it was fixed, maybe it has been fixed, but after I put on my version (CVS-060430). It sounds very similar to one of the fixes I read about shortly after submitting this bug. I will put on the latest, but I won't be able to say if the problem is gone or not, since I can't recreate it reliably.

Well, 04-30 is from a month ago, and really you shouldn't report bugs in versions that old. Especially without doing some research to see if they're fixed first.

Thankyou very much

If you could, please, come back in a few days and let us know if the bug is still present or not. If you aren't having it within a few days and you probably should have had it by then, chances are it's fixed and we can close this report.

Thanks.

Hi. Now running CVS-060531. This is my first day of using it and I've already had the music stop on me 3 times in around 4 hours worth of play. My typical usage today has been:

Media: FLAC files (compression setting 8, encoded using Foobar to have seektables)
Play pattern: I've been trying to listen to a few albums back to back (ie no stops). I've only made it through about 1.5 albums at most without it stopping for no reason. Again, I can fast forward to the next song but not rewind.

The problem seems very random to me, not really time based, because so far I can make it about 3/4 through one album without it happening but then within the next hour it will happen a few times.. Just tell me what you want to know and I'll try to record the info.
