FS#5824 - Non-ASCII chars in filenames not displayed correctly
Using the nimbus-14 font, some non-ASCII characters are not displayed correctly in the file browser, although the same charaters in the ID3 data do display correctly (so they are supported in the font). I’m pretty sure this used to work correctly in the tree view too.
See the attached screenshots. Filename is “02 Neighborhood #2 (Laïka).mp3”

Fixed in SVN. This was indeed only a
problem in windows.

The filename is displayed incorrectly in the WPS too.
Are you sure they’re *actually* the same characters then, and not identical looking characters on the host operating system?
If you’re using linux, you have to mount with the “utf8” option ie mount -o utf8
This is probably only a problem with the windows version of the simulator. Does anyone know how to get the filenames in UTF-8?
The patch at
FS#6214fixes this for the sims under Windows at least.
