The "Fade on stop/pause" when using an iPod through the line-out does not work. After pressing pause, rather than fading, the audio will continue to play for the fade-out period (1/2 second - 1 second?) and then pause.

Although my testing was only done on the iPod 5G 60G, I imagine this problem will occure on any device with a line-out. But as Llorean points out http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=6074.0 the thread I created here[/URL], it may be fixable on at least the iPods.

no problem on the iriver h300 but I think the line out on the irivers is treated the same as the headphones out

Sorry to bump the thread, but it seems that the forum topic had some good ideas and then petered out. Is it still possible that fade in/out could be implemented as a dsp? Preglow seemed to think that it wasn't impossible to do, but I was just curious as to whether anyone else (besides me) would care to see this happen.

nothing is impossible... it just needs someone who 1) wants to fix it, 2) knows how to do it, and 3) has time
