FS#6277 - Jabber notification broken in Flyspray
Tried to sign up and set Flyspray to use Jabber notifications. Didn’t work.
I also had a hard time deciding which category to file this bug.

I believe this has been disabled by the tracker admins. From my “Edit my details” page:
Notify Type This preference has been set globally.
While there is still a field to enter my JID I cannot set the Notify Type to “Jabber”. IIRC you can only select one out of Jabber and Mail (I’ve seen this on a local installation, but this was some time ago, so maybe I’m wrong). I’m not sure if Jabber as the only notify type would be good (even for frequent Jabber user – I still prefer to get an email)
When You sign up, you can enter both email-address and jabber-id and check an option which of both you prefer for notifications. I checked “Jabber” and received no notification at all. That’s a tad annoying (even more so than having to sign up to use a bug tracker ;))
So, if jabber is indeed disabled globally, new users should not be presented that choice when signing up.
