This ised to be pretty reliable and would record the entire night from 9:30-pm-2am (A little over 4 hours). This cut off on me twice right before the 3 hour mark. I did delete a few mixes via the computer (still was no where near a full hard drive), maybe a clean format would do it. Would a windows format work?

It wasn't touched or anything and it was below clipping

Are you sure that the disk really has 16 gigs free? If you deleted the files with Windows, they could very well still be on the disk, but in the Recycle Bin instead.

Definately positive. There were maybe 5 nights on there at approx 500 Megs Each. I checked it multiple ways and it says there is plenty of room available. on the rockbox menu as well as windows.

you pressed play on the info screen so that it said 'scanning disk' ?

Ok anybody know how i can pretty much "format" this drive? Get it pretty clean like operating system and empty space? I'm 99% sure this disk is not acutally full. I used it for only a few nights 4 hours each in 320 KBPs mp3.

I'm considering dropping this report. Please respond:
- did you go to the rockbox info screen and press PLAY to have it rescan? Did that change the reported amount?
- are you really really sure thereś nothing in a hidden directory or recyclebin?
- did you chkdsk/scandisk the drive?
