FS#7526 - sansapatcher on linux prints a success message when it actually does nothing

Using sansapatcher v0.2 with r12896 bootloader.

When I run sansapatcher without root permissions and choose to install, it says “Bootloader installed successfully”.

Nothing is actually installed. Booting the device starts the original firmware.

sansapatcher should detect when it fails to install and print an appropriate message.

Reason for closing:  Fixed

I believe this is fixed as of http://svn.rockbox.org/viewvc.cgi?view=rev&revision=17461 Could someone verify this?

I confirm it now behaves correctly:

$ ./sansapatcher
sansapatcher v0.6 with v4.0 bootloaders - (C) Dave Chapman 2006-2007
