Details

When entering a setting in the sound settings menu it speaks for about one second an is then interrupted. When the setting is exited the remaining part of the clip is played.

When playback is stopped this all works as it should.

Commenting out the calls to pcmbuf_set_low_latency(); in sound_menu.c works around the issue, jhMikeS suggested that the codec thread has higher priority in low latency mode and that it starves the voice thread, I tried boosting the priority of the voice thread but my experiments were unsuccessfull.
