Both files seem to be translations of -simp. I also get a lot of rejected hunks when trying to apply it.

oops. I "translated" the trad file from the simp file but forgot to change where it should patch. As for the hunks, I don't really know why. TortoiseSVN refuses to patch because some missing "index" statements from the patch file so I did not try patching. Maybe I'll use genlang and see how that goes.

You could also try removing the header at the top - perhaps that's what TortoiseSVN is bugging you about. Just delete everything above the --- line.

Edit: I don't really understand why the failed hunks are there - the patch was generated against r14901, which should be current. Perhaps you should just try with genlang, but I don't really understand why.

Did you use utf8 encoding?
Comment by Xinlu Huang (polygonal) - Sunday, 07 October 2007, 06:26 GMT+2
For the hunks failures, I think I'm just careless about switching between the two languages (and yes I did use utf8 encoding). I'm currently in big mess with midterms and papers coming, so I'll fix this as soon as I'm free again - and probably really sync the two Chinese file for line-to-line correspondence for later convenience. Just give me more time ;)

Xinlu Huang, I have a few questions that are chinese specific. Could I please have some way to contact you off this task? Thanks

I'm pretty sure it is (as of the last time I checked it), but if not, it is xinlu.h__at__gmail__dot__com
