FS#8212 - plugin only in english
As it stands right now, plugins are in english. The solution would be to make 2 dirs under langs. One says core and one is plugins. The plugins should have a set of translations for the plugin texts in the same lang format as the core lang files (for translators of the core that want to translate plugins). Under the language option of general settings, instead of taking you to the langs dir, it will show 2 options, core language and plugins language. Thanks.

Two things: 1 - This is a feature
request rather than a bug. 2 - This is
something we want implemented, and a
gsoc student is working on it, hence no
task is necessary.

I agree that this is a bug or at least a feature that should be implemented but why would you want to select different languages for core and plugins?
Maybe that part. But it would allow 7704 to run. So these things should run hand in hand. *hint hint*
honestly that part is sort of hackish and proper voice support for plugins will most likely come after localization support although voice is a lot more complex (and a whole different issue) and thus I think selecting two different languages is a bad idea.
