FS#8697 - ALAC converted from dbPowerAmp is not recognized (RB r16536)
I use r16536-080306 in ipod video 5.5G 30gb.
ALAC converted from dbPowerAmp is not recognized by RockBox.
Workaround is using Foobar2000 tools called Optimize MP4 Layout.
After that, ALAC files can be played.
This is my first time flyspray, I don’t know if this should be a feature request? So sorry, if i’m wrong.

Almost certainly fixed by last years MP4
parser improvements. If its not fixed,
please file a new bug report with a link
to a file.

This seems to just be Rockbox’s preference for streamable media. “Optimize MP4 Layout” in Foobar2k places the metadata at the beginning of the file. Should this task be closed?
If it’s feasible to implement support it would be nice to not need to modify the
files, so anyone familiar enough with ALAC to say if it is?
Does anybody have any example file?
