FS#8767 - Tuner bandwidth extension for LV24020LP based tuners (72.4Mhz - 121.3Mhz)
Supported are players using the LV24020LP tuner.
This patch adds 5 Regions to the FM Tuner Region menu where supported
72.400Mhz - 121.300Mhz step: 12.5kHz
72.400Mhz - 121.300Mhz step: 20.0kHz
72.415Mhz - 121.295Mhz step: 20.0kHz (german BOS raster)
72.400Mhz - 121.300Mhz step: 50.0kHz
72.400Mhz - 121.300Mhz step:100.0kHz
and enables some basic creative tuner usage. The limits have been determined by bruteforce. I tried as long as i found the point where the frequency took a lot longer to tune.
Should be save for all targets.

Nobody was interested in this in several
years. Additionally, we intentionally
only allow "useful"
frequencies, so something like this is
unlikely to make it into Rockbox, so
someone interested in such a feature has
to create his own build anyway.

You included changed apart from the mentioned additional regions (changing the number of maximum presets etc.) Also, the TEA5767 can also tune further than the region values are limiting, and the Archos tuner as well. Besides, we do not want supporting radio settings that are out of range for the chosen location, so this most likely will get rejected.
Ah well… the number of presets slipped in from another approach, sorry :/
Thanks anyway
and you mention the TEA5767… i don’t have that device. I supposed that it was capable of tuning to different frequencies, but because i didn’t exactly know the margins… so i left it out.
I totally accept not supporting that region settings, but may i ask a reason? I don’t mind if there just isn’t one and you just want to keep clear about legal issues.
Patch needs resync, now fails at apps/settings_list.c.
I fixed this patch, now applies to r19415 without any problems.
