The Sansa c200 players don't have a play button, which, according to the manual, would let you return to the WPS, or let you stop playback. See 4.1.1: File browser controls. http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-sansac200/rockbox-buildch4.html

...and this means that if you're in the file browser and need to pause or stop playback quickly you first have to go to the main menu, step to "Now Playing", select, and then pause. thats FIVE keypresses when I tried just now. Not very convenient if the phone rings... ONE would be ok.

So what do you suggest we do about it?

Ok. Now I have found that REC+PLAY takes you to the WPS.
Problem is that the most probable way of doing it is to first press & hold REC and then press PLAY.
But if you dont release REC fast enough (very fast!) you will see the WPS for only a split second before you end up at the recording screen, because a LONG REC is detected.

I suggest:
1. That the Manual is corrected to say that REC+PLAY takes you to the WPS
2. That (e.g.) REC+MENU stops playback (and that the manual tells you so)
3. That the timing of the REC-pressing is reset when there is a second key pressed simultaneously OR (as a simple fix) the time you have to press REC to go to the recording screen is notably longer.

Hmm... On the c200 it is possible to press Volume UP+DOWN simultaneously. Now thats an alternative combination of keys to use for something...

Hi, I fixed the manual bug an changed this task to a feature request.

I boldly linked that to my keymap changes patch. With the patch you would have a one button resume but lose the possibilty to adjust volume in the browsers/menus, because I used "volume up" for resume and "volume down" as stop. I'm not completely happy with it myself as said in the description but please try it and leave a comment - I'd also welcome further suggestions to try and find a better solution.
