when i press and hold the play button to shutdown the player, it just restarts each time... have reinstalled rockbox... tyred to idle power off and it just restarts like normal shutdown method....

i guess a possible solution is to shut it down using the apple firmware but i cant figure out how to boot into the original firmware anymore... id rather figure out how to fix the problem, than have to continually revert back to the apple firmware to shutdown, and then reboot using the rockbox firmware...

please try with a current build. The one you mentioned is rather outdated.

tryed it with the current build... same issue...
the battery does have a short life but i dont see how that could cause this to be happaning....

it turns off once in a while... but its not cinsistant... not sure what it is
am i the only one with the issue?

satone, if you start the Apple firmware (set the hold switch as fast as you can when the ipod is starting) does
it indicate that a charger is connected even if no charger is connected?
