FS#9501 - severe screen corruption on H300

I have just now installed the latest stable version of rockbox (that would be 3.0) on an iriver h340. Unfortunately, it’s unusable at the moment due to some serious screen corruption. It sort of looks like this picture: http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/2263/iriver3qs.jpg, but is so much worse that it’s impossible to navigate the menus. If I wait for the backlight to go off, and then press a button, the screen looks fine until I start navigating, at which point the corruption resurfaces.

I’m really excited about rockbox, but this bug is a showstopper for me at the moment.

Thanks for looking into it!

Regards.

Here’s an alleged solution I’ve found (which unfortunately is way over my head right now): http://www.misticriver.net/forums/rockbox-h3xx-series/36004-i-have-fuzzy-picture-need-help.html#post387846

This issue is hardware related, the rockbox lcd driver is within specification but it seems some h300’s have
lcd controllers that can’t keep up, we could slow down the driver to help this problem but we wouldn’t want to
slow it down too much so we need someone with a player that is affected by this to try different speeds to see
which is the fastest one that works correctly on their unit.

Alright, I see.

I wish I had time to compile it myself, but unfortunately, I don’t right now. However, if you (or someone else) kindly would supply me with a few different builds, I could try them one after another as soon as time allows.

Thanks, though!
