FS#9903 - iAudio M3 does not charge *ever* using Rockbox
|
DetailsUsing the latest revision (r20001 - but its been broken since I started using Rockbox) the iAudio M3 does not recharge the battery using either the USB or the Power adapter.
The only way I can get the iAudio M3 to charge is to use Cowon's firmware. |
This task depends upon
Seems like if the M3 is on and I plug in the USB I get just a USB icon on the screen, and no powering. If I turn the machine off then plug it in, the red charge light comes on, and the unit charges up. Power does not work the same way - the red charge light never comes on with the main power plugged in.
I noticed the same problem. Don't remember when it happened, as the M3 used to charge from the power adapter (maybe a month or so ago, sorry that's not very helpful).
Thanks for the clue about USB charging, at least that saves me from the Cowan firmware.
Thanks to whoever fixed this.

For me it issn´t still working with any new update. Charging only works with Cowon´s original firmware.

1)plug in your Iaudio M3 device to you PC media USB cable
2)Once is connect, plug in the AC cable to your Iaudio device.
3)Then, safely remove from you PC de USB conection, unpluged the USB cable WITHOUT unplug the AC cable
4) Voila! The Iaudio is charging via AC, as you can check in the remote control
Correct, that's how it works for me too. I originally though the problem was fixed, it was only after a while I discovered it requires precisely the actions you describe.
