DetailsApple has a nice TTS system. Almost as good as AT&T's. One good thing is that anything can be generated from the cli, more specifically the 'say' command:
SAY(1) Speech Synthesis Manager SAY(1) NAME say - Convert text to audible speech SYNOPSIS say [-v voice] [-o out.aiff | -n name:port ] [-f file | string ...] ... if -f is "-f -" or missing, it reads from stdin. As for the audio out it doesn't seem to want to stream out, only generate an aiff. |
