With reference to  FS#9508  - this is still occurring (ina form) when triggering the database build from the player (I was unable to post to the bug due to your Host issues).

Please note I am not using the daily build but the current Rockbox stable, which is v3.0 according to Rockbox Utility (but is not listed as a selectable version for this report).

While it is true that the message reported in my initial post no longer appears, the player still locks up towards the end of the database creatoin process - this time without a message.

Reason for closing:  Duplicate
Additional comments about closing:  Issue is reported fixed in r21580 according to  FS#9508 , fs#10396. If anyone can reproduce it in a build newer then that, please start a new task.

Bug reports always need to be reported against the latest version, also 3.0 is pretty old (seeing as we're currently at 3.3).

Please try again with a daily build.

According to the tracker, that bug was fixed in r21580, 10 months after Rockbox 3.0 was released. Try a build that includes the fix.

So 3.3 is not considered stable?

Just going on the information to hand from the updater utility (3.3 is not being given as an explicit option)...

Having tried the "current" the database does seem to build - thanksfor input.
